House Restoration

This project was to completely restore the inside of a 1920’s house. We stripped the house down to the studs. The restoration included new electric, plumbing, insulation, and hvac. After leveling the floors and cealing correcting 3″ sways, we changed the layout to add a 1st floor full bath with laundry and move the kitchen to the back of the house. We opened up the cealing by removing the 8′ drop cealing to get us back to 9′ 1st floor cealings. We spray foamed the house for an air tight insulation job. The budget didn’t allow for new floors. We used old wood from an area that would get tiled to repair the floors. We otherwise did the best to could with the floor finishing. Other highlights included the new baths, a new kitchen, window and door changes, and trim. We reused old wood from the demo to trim out most of the windows. This was a great project. I look forward to next similar effort.
